Chapter 1
In chapter 1, Marty is having a dinner and he is complaining that their is bullets in the rabbit that his dad shot. Marty goes up the hill with his 22. rifle and sees what he can shoot. Before he comes down he finds this dog roaming around. When he walks home he shows his parents, but they say he can't keep him. They predict it's Judd Traver's dog because they said that Judd just got a new haunting dog. So before they leave Marty names the dog Shiloh.
Chapter 2
In chapter 2, Shiloh ran away from Judd and Marty found him so Marty kept him. Now Marty takes some of his breakfast, lunch, and dinner and gives it to Shiloh So he's always starving.
Chapter 3
In chapter 3, Marty is starting this thing that he's going to start picking up bottles for money. His dad asked if Marty wanted to go deliver mail with him. So Marty just said fine theirs nothing to do anyway. So he just goes since theirs nothing to do.
Chapter 4
In chapter 4, Marty goes up the hill and tells his family he's going to go and shoot stuff up there but he's really going to feed Shiloh. Before he comes down he hears Judd's pickup pull up in the drive way. When Judd gets out he asked " if Marty's dad has seen his dog yet ". Marty's dad says no. Then he asked if Marty saw it. He said no.
Chapter 5
In chapter 5, Marty is still collecting cans. Marty's dad was planing on having David Howard [ Marty's friend ] over. Judd's dog is still there.
Chapter 6
In chapter 6, Marty goes up the hill again to feed Shiloh. When Dara Lynn [ Marty's sister ] sees him. She asked where are you going. Marty said there's a snake up there so he's going up there to kill it.
Chapter 7
In chapter 7, Marty goes to David Howard's house to have lunch. When he gets there he doesn't want to tell David that he has Shiloh. When they eat Marty eats like a pig. David's mom asks do you want some cookies to take with you. Or I have a another half sandwich for ya. So he takes everything she offers him. He was thinking to his self, my mom would kill me if i acted like this if she where here.
